UNBOXING: ipsy - January 2017

Is anyone else totally obsessed with subscription boxes??  I love getting new goodies sent to my door every month, especially from ipsy! I have had ipsy for at least 2 years, its been so long I honestly can't remember when I started. Needless to say ipsy ALWAYS comes through for your girl! I have rarely been disappointed in my glam bag, plus I love the cute bags you get every month. I use them for travel all the time. For $10 a month it's totally worth the hype!

This month I received:
2. SLMissGlam Blend Beauty Brush L34

I loved this months bag! I got so many great product that I definitely will use on a regular basis.

The metallic eyeshadow I got is stunning! First of all, the color is perfection, I love champagne gold shadows. They look beautiful on deeper skin tones, and they make an excellent topper on the lids for a glam look. Since it is a loose shadow, with a light hand you can definitely use this little guy for an extra POW goddess glow on the cheekbones! The best part, this little gem will only run you $4!!?? Hello! Let's just say mamma's gonna do some eye shadow shopping real soon! :) The full size is $10 but honestly if you're like me and are constantly reaching for different products the sample size could last you a good amount of time.

SLMissGlam brushes are some of the softest, prettiest brushes I have ever touched. I came across this brand for the first time at GenBeauty in San Francisco and let me tell you!!! The brand alone is so unique, I love their color scheme and their theme with unicorns. It's so playful and cute! With their cute branding they have gorgeous brushes. Their bush sets do cost a pretty penny, but I think their single brushes are pretty affordable. They're about $13-$16 depending. I searched high and low for this brush on their site but sadly I could not find it.

Pur~lisse is one of my favorite skin care brands. I love their products and the ingredients they use. Everything I have tried from this brand from their cleanser, moisturizer, to serums have been amazing to my skin! One thing about me is my obsession to face mask. I indulge in one at least 2/3 times a week depending on my skin needs. I do have sensitive skin so I will be careful with this product when using it because it is an exfoliant. Anything too strong will break me out. I will have to give you guys an update on this at a later time, my skin is currently having a bad reaction to something I used so I'm keeping my skincare very minimal until it goes back to normal. Based on their website this looks like a new product with a hefty price tag of $52. I'm glad I can review for you guys to let you know if it's really worth the splurge. I think when it comes to good skincare, sometimes the splurge is worth it.

TEMPTU is another brand I am familiar with because of ipsy. This particular product doesn't really scream at me right away soley because of the word 'MATTE'! For my dry skin folks out there you already know that matte is not always our friend. I have only tested this out once because of the "smoothing" benefits. Like I said earlier my skin has been going nuts the last couple days with a lot of texture so I felt it would be a great time to try this product out. It is very watery which I was not expecting. Usually when I think of smoothing & matte I think of something thick and creamy. I did find that it left a nice smooth base for application but I did not help in the texture department what so ever. It is a nice product, I do need to play around with it a little be more though. A full size of this product goes for $35.

I won't go into the Ciaté top coat too much. I did use this as my top coat recently when I did my nails and I liked it. There isn't too much to say, since I wear fake nails I don't necessarily have to worry about chipping so I can't give my opinion there. I will say I really love the brush applicator its not your typical brush applicator. Its a little more wide and flat and tapers just slightly at the tip of the brush so you can get more of your nail in one brush without having to apply a bunch of layers, and wasting product. I love a good full size nail polish, and the packaging is in this gorgeous silver chrome bottle. A+ on packaging Ciaté! This size bottle retails for $17.

That sums up my thoughts for this months ipsy bag. I am very happy with the products received. I tried to give as much details on each product as I could.

Comment down below with goodies you got in your bag this month. Did we get the same bag? Or do you think yours was better? :) Let me know!
