UNBOXING: Boxycharm - January 2017

Another month, another Boxycharm. This is my third month with Boxycharm, and I will say this month personally is not my favorite. I did enjoy some of the items in this box, but it was a little underwhelming compared to the last 2 months. This is a $21 subscription box, and you get 5 full-size products a month!

I received:
1. Adesse - Ultra Suede Matte Top Coat $18
2. Crown Brushes - Soft Fan Brush SS017 $12.99
3. Oscar Blandi - Pronto Dry Shampoo Spray $23
4. Vintage - Highlighter Double $35
5. PÜR - Château Cheek Stain $26
Box total = $114.99

So based on everything I got in the box this month it is not the best for me personally! Literally half the things in the box I likely will not use regularly! I love nail polish but matte nail polish always get a weird film on the top after a few days. It's really hard to explain, but I just cannot stand it. Possibly I'm using a cheap matte top coat (Sally Hansen Big Matte Top Coat?) I don't know. Does this happen to anyone else or am I just nutty??

I love a good brush, and this fan brush is soft and beautiful. I'm glad I got the Crown Brushes fan brush instead of the So Susan one. I'm not familiar with that brand and I own Crown Brushes so my brush collection isn't all over the place. I like the way this brush applies highlight. You get a nice even layer of highlight, and you can definitely get a beaming highlight with this brush!

Okay when it comes to subscription boxes, I really do not like getting hair products. I think the BEST hair product I received was from SephoraPlay and it was from the brand OUAI (their products smell amazing btw!!) Anyways, I am very particular about what I use on my natural hair, and dry shampoo is not one. Since I wear extensions like 90% of the time I prefer not to use certain products on those either. Plus I have 100 other dry shampoos I don't use...lol. I'm totally exaggerating but you catch my drift! I also do not really care for the intense lemon scent this product has.

Glow baby GLOW! These highlights from Vintage are definitely gorgeous. They swatch very nicely especially on darker skin. The pinker highlight does look a little intimidating in the packaging. I wasn't sure how it would pair on my skin tone. However, it has this lovely sheen with and beautiful pink iridescence at certain angles.

I think the PÜR cheek stain is probably my least favorite product I received. I mean come on now, this is just like a mess for me. I literally had to drag this product over my hand 5 times before any tint showed up. I tried it out on my face and I felt I was removing my entire base having to drag this product over my face just to get pigmentation. Then using the brush to blend it out helped blend it out but in my opinion this product is more trouble than it's worth. I didn't spend 30 minutes beating face to rub it off with this weird product! Not a fan!

This box was not my favorite but I still love some of the products I received. I love this box because I was getting so overloaded with samples it was time to get a taste of the full size life. Hopefully for us Boxycharm Subscribers we can expect some really great stuff this year! This month unfortunately was not off to a great start, in my opinion.

**I did see some February boxycharm spoilers, let's just say I am VERY excited for this box!!!

What did you get in your Boxycharm this month!?
