Coachella has begun, and festival season is in full effect!! For all my beauties headed to this amazing 3 day festival, from my past experience here are some fashion pieces that are essential for the perfect festival look. Not to say that you need everything mentioned on this list. But hey, at 3 day festival you can create 3 amazing outfits with each of these pieces.
Sadly I will be living vicariously though live YouTube streams this year, but I'm most excited for ToveLo and Banks! They ended 2016 with a BANG for me so I know they're going to kill it at the festival!! :)
Of course Coachella isn't the only festival to look forward to this year so this list applies to any festival you'll be attending!
My top 10 Festival Pieces
1. High Waist Shorts: In my opinion these are essential because its BLAZING hot outside during festivals and I'm sorry but you wont catch me in jeans...lol. High waist shorts look great with anything from a bralette to an off the shoulder top. They're easy to wear and stylish.
2. Bralette: For all my ladies that love showing skin bralettes are so essential to the festival vibe. A cute mesh/floral bralette will make you look and feel like the inner flower child that you are!!
3. Fringe: Is fringe still in!? Who cares! I love it and it can be an accessory in any form. From a fringe choker necklace, to a gorgeous fringe crossbody. I love all things fringe during festival season because it gives every outfit that extra umph!
4. Kimono: The days can be terribly hot, but when night falls that wind can catch you off guard. A long kimono is lightweight and can fit in your bag but also comes in handy when that evening chill arises.
5. Sandals/ Ankle Boots: Depending on if you want your feet totally covered in dust and dirt you can opt for a cute pair of sandals to give you an effortless look. Or for some added comfort & grunge simple black boots will still give your look some edge.
6. Sunglasses: These are the perfect accessory to really top off your festival bohemian look. I find sunglasses to be their best at night. For anyone who's been to Coachella knows that dust at night is NO JOKE!!!
7. Crossbody/Backpack: These two are the best options for any festival. Ladies we all know we have to keep our essentials with us at ALL TIMES! Nobody wants to carry around a huge handbag for 10+ hours. These pieces are easy to pair with any outfit and super convenient to keep those necessities close.
8. Wide Leg Pants: For some added flare wide leg pants are totally festival approved. From floral to tribal prints these pair great with bralettes and sandals.
9. Floppy Hat: This might be my all time favorite festival accessory. I am beyond obsessed with floppy hats. Their great if you're just having a bad hair day, but they also take any festival look to the top! Let's not forget protection from the sun #winning
10. Flower Headband: For the most trendy accessory of them all, the well loved flower crown! Snapchat has made this look even bigger than ever. For that true flower child, boho, free spirit and everything in between who doesn't love this piece for true festival vibes!!
